About the role.

This leadership role focuses on overseeing complex OTC settlements operations within a fast-paced banking environment. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end settlement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational efficiency across global markets. The position requires a strategic mindset to lead large teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

What you will do.

  • Lead and manage the OTC settlements function, ensuring timely and accurate trade processing.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex settlement breaks and exceptions in coordination with global counterparts.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and implementing automation initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage and mentor large, diverse teams to foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with front-office, middle-office, and technology teams to support business growth and product launches.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with external counterparties, custodians, and market infrastructure providers.

What you bring.

  • 15–22 years of experience in financial services operations, specifically within OTC settlements.
  • Proven track record of leadership in a large-scale, global banking environment.
  • Deep understanding of OTC derivative products, trade lifecycles, and market regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex operational risks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation or process improvement projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
