The SYMPHONI HR Era (2018 – Present)

The year 2018 marked a defining moment — the inception of SYMPHONI HR, built on a vision to redefine how organisations discover, engage, and retain talent. Evolving from a pure-play search firm into a holistic talent partner, SYMPHONI HR today delivers a full spectrum of solutions across leadership search, functional hiring, workforce management, and talent advisory across Global Capability Centres, Technology, Research & Development and Emerging Sectors, Financial Services - Investment Banks, Private Equity, Asset Management, Fund Services.

Winning Global Mandates (2012–2017)

Our next chapter was defined by scale and global recognition. We expanded into Real Estate, Engineering, and Specialty Chemicals, while earning international mandates in Oil & Gas and Electricals & Automation. Meanwhile, our presence in Technology, BFSI, and Consulting strengthened further, supported by a robust research and delivery infrastructure.

Expanding Horizons (2009–2011)

During this period, we diversified into Technology, Consulting and Consumer sectors, while our BFSI vertical expanded with multiple specialised teams. This phase was marked by growth, collaboration, and a sharpened focus on creating tailored hiring solutions across domains.

Building Expertise (2004–2008)

We soon deepened our expertise in BFSI, beginning with Retail Banking and expanding into Wholesale Banking, Insurance, NBFC, and Asset & Wealth Management. Exclusive mandates across leadership and lateral levels helped us build a reputation for precision, trust, and market insight — values that continue to define us today.

The Beginning (2003–2004)

Our roots go back to 2003, when HEAD HUNTERS HR was founded in Mumbai as a boutique executive search firm. In 2004, the establishment of Talent Quest Solutions marked our expansion into Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Contractual Staffing, and Payroll Processing — an early sign of our ability to evolve with client needs.

Nupura Potdar

With over 20 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, Nupura is a results-driven talent acquisition leader with a strong record of building trusted client partnerships. For more than 15 years at SYMPHONI HR, she has led key mandates across Oil & Gas, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Building Materials, Power, Renewables, Automotive, Pharma & Healthcare, Engineering, Construction, Retail, and E-commerce sectors.

Known for her strategic insight, research-driven approach, and commitment to quality, Nupura combines precision with empathy to deliver impactful hiring solutions. Her leadership continues to strengthen Symphoni HR’s reputation for excellence, reliability, and client success.

Rajalakshmi Gopalakrishnan

With over 13 years of experience in talent acquisition, Rajalakshmi is a people-first leader who builds strong partnerships and delivers impactful hiring solutions. At SYMPHONI HR, she plays a key role in connecting exceptional talent with leading organisations across Technology, AI & Data, Semi Conductor and emerging tech sectors.

Her journey from Recruiter to Practice Head has been shaped by curiosity, consistency, and a passion for understanding what truly drives both people and businesses. She has successfully managed diverse client portfolios — from consulting and product firms to emerging tech and engineering companies — always ensuring quality, speed, and a human touch in every interaction.

Sweta Bohra

Since embarking on her journey with SYMPHONI HR in 2006, Sweta has been instrumental in driving the firm’s growth and evolution. With deep expertise in leadership hiring and talent acquisition, she partners with leading organisations across Global Capability Centres, Consulting, and Technology, delivering senior and specialised talent across functions.

Renowned for her strategic insight and empathetic leadership, Sweta blends business acumen with a people-first mindset, strengthening client partnerships while nurturing performance-focused teams. A strong advocate of organisational excellence, she has been instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth within SYMPHONI HR.

Ujwal Mukim

A Chartered Accountant with an entrepreneurial mindset, Ujwal leads strategic partnerships, alliances, and growth initiatives at SYMPHONI HR. He brings strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of client ecosystems across Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Fund Services, Consulting. 

Ujwal also drives the firm’s DEI hiring programs, and oversees TalentWorks (RPO) and Agile Workforce Solutions, expanding SYMPHONI HR’s reach and strengthening its position as a holistic talent partner.

Gaurav Khetan

A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Gaurav brings over two decades of experience in executive search and leadership hiring. He co-founded SYMPHONI HR, where he leads the BFSI and Technology practices and serves as the firm’s resident expert in Accounting & Finance, Taxation, Contracts, Investments, and New Business Ventures.

Before establishing SYMPHONI HR, Gaurav worked with E&Y and Deloitte, where he honed his expertise in finance domain and business consulting. A sports enthusiast and fitness advocate, he balances his professional intensity with an equal passion for community service and wellbeing.

Praveen Mukim

An Engineer from MIT Manipal, Praveen founded SYMPHONI HR after a successful stint with a leading special steel and manufacturing giant. He brings deep expertise in Manufacturing, Engineering, and EPC, and anchors the firm’s Consumer, Automotive, Real Estate, and Healthcare practices.

Known for his strong industry networks, Praveen is the firm’s subject-matter expert on Government Regulations, Distressed Assets, Real Estate, and India’s brick-and-mortar economy. A passionate Rotarian and avid reader, his office is never short of newspapers — or new ideas.
