About the role.

This leadership role oversees global FX settlements operations, ensuring seamless execution and strategic alignment across business units. The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, manage complex trade lifecycles, and leverage advanced data analytics and automation tools to optimize performance. You will be responsible for maintaining robust operational controls while enhancing the overall client and employee experience.

What you will do.

  • Manage global FX settlements operations across multiple entities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, and Technology teams to streamline operational workflows.
  • Oversee FX settlements applications, ensuring they remain updated with market-driven initiatives and technological advancements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for greater processing and reporting efficiencies.
  • Drive the strategic direction for the FX settlements team and foster integration with the global footprint.
  • Analyze and resolve complex operational problems using established practices and change precedents.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory policies across all managed functions.
  • Build a culture focused on identifying, mitigating, and controlling operational, audit, and regulatory risks.
  • Translate complex data into actionable business metrics to support executive decision-making.
  • Own the end-to-end client and employee experience for the FX settlements division.

What you bring.

  • 15–22 years of experience in financial services, specifically within FX settlements operations.
  • Deep expertise in the security trade lifecycle and operational control frameworks.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and large-scale stakeholder management.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools including Alteryx and Power BI.
  • Experience implementing automation, robotics, and machine learning solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk and ensure regulatory compliance in a global banking environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
