About the role.
This leadership role involves overseeing complex securities settlement operations within a high-volume environment. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end settlement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational efficiency across global markets. The position requires a strategic mindset to lead large teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
What you will do.
- Lead and manage the securities settlements function, ensuring timely and accurate trade processing.
- Oversee the resolution of settlement breaks and exceptions to mitigate operational risk.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational workflows and automation.
- Ensure strict adherence to global regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, custodians, and market counterparties.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a large, diverse team of operations professionals.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize settlement cycles and reduce costs.
What you bring.
- 15–22 years of experience in financial services operations, specifically within securities settlements.
- Proven track record of leadership in a large-scale, global banking environment.
- Deep understanding of global market settlement practices and clearing house operations.
- Strong expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams through organizational change and process transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
