About the role.
The Assistant - Chemical Operations will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end supply chain and documentation processes for chemical imports and exports. This position involves coordinating logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing financial transactions related to international trade. You will work closely with internal teams to optimize inventory planning and maintain seamless operational workflows.
What you will do.
- Manage end-to-end import-export documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely movement of chemical products.
- Handle financial documentation including Letters of Credit (LC) and DA/DP transactions.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes related to trade operations.
- Perform inventory planning and monitoring to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Facilitate custom clearance processes in coordination with relevant authorities.
- Conduct financial analysis and credit management to support operational decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records and reports using SAP HANA and MS Office tools.
What you bring.
- Proven experience in Foreign Trade and Supply Chain Management.
- Strong proficiency in Import-Export documentation and custom clearance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA or GSAP systems.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of financial instruments including LC and DA/DP transactions.
- Ability to manage credit and perform detailed financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on operational accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a full-time office environment in Mumbai.
