About the role.
We are looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join a dynamic engineering team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing robust, high-scale data processing solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on distributed systems and influence the technical direction of critical data initiatives within a hybrid work environment.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data processing workflows and improve system performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges within distributed computing environments.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Implement automated testing to ensure high code quality and system stability.
What you bring.
- 7–9 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Scala programming and functional programming paradigms.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
