About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines to support large-scale data processing initiatives and analytical requirements. This is a hybrid position focused on ensuring high availability and performance of critical data assets.
What you will do.
- Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Manage and maintain data storage solutions within Hadoop and HDFS environments.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and performance across Hive-based data warehouses.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data processing bottlenecks to ensure high availability of data assets.
- Design and implement efficient ETL workflows in a distributed computing environment.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven professional experience in Python and PySpark for big data processing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience working with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS and Hive.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and real-time streaming technologies.
