About the role.
We are looking for an experienced Non Functional Test Engineer to join a quality engineering team in Bengaluru. You will validate both functional and non-functional aspects of software, combining manual and automation testing with API, UI and performance testing. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality, reliability and user experience standards.
What you will do.
- Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and create detailed test cases
- Execute manual and automated tests across desktop, web, mobile and cloud platforms
- Perform API and UI testing to validate functionality and user experience
- Develop and maintain BDD/Cucumber test automation scripts including feature files and step definitions
- Design and execute performance and load tests for both API and UI using tools such as JMeter or Locust
- Identify, document, and triage defects and establish traceability and test coverage
- Manage test data and collaborate with cross-functional and cross-time-zone teams
What you bring.
- 4-8 years of experience in manual and automation testing
- Strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid
- Hands-on experience with BDD/Cucumber frameworks
- Experience in API testing using REST Assured and Postman
- Strong SQL skills with Oracle and SQL Server
- Proficiency with Jira/Azure DevOps, GitHub and TestNG/JUnit
- Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as Locust or JMeter
- Understanding of SDLC, test lifecycle and defect management, with excellent communication skills
