About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team in Bangalore. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data pipelines while leveraging modern cloud and big data frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize complex ETL and ELT processes to support data integration.
- Integrate big data and distributed processing endpoints with modern data warehouses.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production workflow issues to ensure system reliability.
- Optimize data processing performance to handle large-scale datasets efficiently.
What you bring.
- 8–12 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems, specifically Azure (ADF, Databricks) or AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR).
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
- Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization.
