About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team in a hybrid capacity. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes within an Azure-based environment. This role focuses on leveraging advanced cloud tools to drive automation, data orchestration, and system interoperability.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks, ADF, and Azure SQL.
- Implement advanced data orchestration and automation strategies to streamline data workflows.
- Execute cost optimization strategies for cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data models to support business intelligence requirements.
- Ensure high standards of code modularization and version control across all development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data management practices.
What you bring.
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience in data engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Intermediate experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with ADLS, Azure SQL, ADF, GitHub, and SSMS.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, code versioning, and modularization.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex ETL processes.
- Familiarity with REST API development and integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and orchestration.
