About the role.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team in Pune, working in a hybrid capacity. You will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of sophisticated electronic hardware and sub-systems for advanced medical and robotic applications. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware engineering and life-saving technology.
What you will do.
- Design and develop electrical sub-systems, Printed Circuit Boards (PCAs), and electronic hardware for surgical and orthopaedic applications.
- Perform bench testing, PCB bring-up, and comprehensive performance verification.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, design requirements, and Bill of Materials (BOM) updates.
- Ensure all designs meet rigorous quality and safety standards, including FDA, IEC 60601, and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing to transition products from design to production.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience with PCB design, layout, and simulation using tools such as Altium or OrCAD.
- Strong knowledge of analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal design principles.
- Familiarity with medical device standards such as IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and FDA/MDR regulations.
- Experience or exposure to orthopaedic instrumentation, joint anatomy, or robotic systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
