About the role.
We are looking for a skilled Data Governance Engineer to join our client's team in Pune. This role focuses on building automated workflows and robust data governance frameworks to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity within a hybrid work environment.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational workflows.
- Create, configure, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and integrate solutions using REST APIs to enable seamless system integration.
- Implement and maintain data governance practices, including access control mechanisms and data cataloging processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated jobs and pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Document automation processes, procedures, and best practices.
What you bring.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in automation, DevOps, or software development roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and Shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of REST API design, implementation, and integration.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, access control principles, and data cataloging.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and configuration management tools like Terraform.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Working understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
