About the role.
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Governance Engineer with a strong foundation in Python scripting, CI/CD practices, and data governance principles. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions that streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, committed to continuous learning, and passionate about automation and data governance in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational workflows
- Create, configure, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes
- Develop and integrate solutions using REST APIs to enable seamless automation and system integration
- Implement and maintain data governance practices, including access control mechanisms and data cataloging processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated jobs and pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
- Document automation processes, procedures, and best practices
What you bring.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in automation, DevOps, or software development roles
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and Shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins (job creation, pipeline configuration, automation)
- Working knowledge of REST API design, implementation, and integration
- Understanding of access control principles and implementation, and data cataloging concepts
- Demonstrated adaptability and commitment to continuous learning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
