About the role.
The Vice President - Data Security Architect will lead the strategic design and implementation of robust data protection frameworks. You will be responsible for architecting security solutions that safeguard sensitive information across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves collaborating with global stakeholders to ensure compliance with international security standards and evolving threat landscapes.
What you will do.
- Design and implement comprehensive data security architectures to protect enterprise assets.
- Lead the deployment and optimization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platforms and data discovery tools.
- Develop and enforce data classification policies to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information.
- Conduct rigorous threat modeling to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Integrate advanced encryption and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions into existing workflows.
- Ensure all security architectures align with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver secure infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert guidance on Cloud Security and CASB implementations to support digital transformation.
What you bring.
- 13–18 years of professional experience in cybersecurity architecture and data protection.
- Deep expertise in DLP platforms, data discovery, and data classification strategies.
- Strong understanding of Cloud Security, CASB, and Identity and Access Management.
- Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, or SABSA are highly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft SC-100/400 security certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an Agile project environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level.
