About the role.
The Associate, Treasury Risk Management will play a critical role in the second-line oversight of treasury desks, ensuring robust risk management practices. This position involves applying quantitative methodologies to monitor market and liquidity risks while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that support the firm's financial stability and strategic decision-making.
What you will do.
- Provide second-line oversight and risk management for treasury desks.
- Develop and implement market and liquidity risk management methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to global regulatory expectations and internal risk policies.
- Perform quantitative analysis to assess risk exposures and capital adequacy.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate risk reporting.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present risk metrics to senior stakeholders.
- Automate risk reporting processes using programming and data analysis tools.
- Monitor daily risk limits and investigate breaches or anomalies.
What you bring.
- 3–7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management.
- Strong understanding of market and liquidity risk management methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations within the banking sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.
- Professional certification such as CFA or FRM is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Mumbai.
