About the role.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Battery Energy Storage Systems Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge BESS projects. This pivotal role involves overseeing projects from initial concept through to successful completion, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to industry standards. The successful candidate will provide critical technical guidance and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
What you will do.
- Lead the technical design and engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects
- Oversee system integration, testing, and commissioning activities for BESS solutions
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively to ensure successful delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers on BESS projects
What you bring.
- 15–16 years of proven experience in BESS design, engineering, and project management
- Strong understanding of various battery technologies, including Li-ion and flow batteries
- Expertise in power electronics, inverters, and grid integration for energy storage systems
- Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS) and SCADA platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
