About the role.
We are seeking a highly experienced HVDC/VSC Systems Expert to join a dedicated team in Surat. This pivotal role involves providing deep technical expertise in the design, analysis, and implementation of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Voltage Source Converter (VSC) systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring optimal performance and reliability for critical power transmission infrastructure, shaping the technical direction of complex projects.
What you will do.
- Lead technical specifications and design reviews for HVDC/VSC substations
- Perform detailed system studies including transient analysis, power flow, and stability
- Provide expert guidance on equipment selection, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to HVDC/VSC systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in HVDC/VSC
What you bring.
- 12–17 years of extensive experience with HVDC and VSC technologies
- Proven expertise in substation design and power system analysis
- Strong understanding of control and protection systems for HVDC applications
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and provide solutions
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
