About the role.
This role focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and voltage source converter (VSC) systems for large-scale substation projects. You will serve as a technical authority, ensuring that complex power systems meet rigorous performance, safety, and efficiency standards. The position requires deep technical expertise to lead engineering workflows and provide guidance on advanced power transmission technologies.
What you will do.
- Lead the design and engineering of HVDC and VSC systems for high-voltage substation projects.
- Perform complex system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and transient stability analysis.
- Provide technical oversight for the integration of converter stations into existing power grids.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project specifications align with international engineering standards.
- Review and approve technical documentation, design reports, and equipment specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex substation design challenges.
- Ensure all engineering solutions comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage technical interfaces with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What you bring.
- 12–17 years of professional experience in power systems engineering, specifically within HVDC and VSC technologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven expertise in substation design and high-voltage power transmission systems.
- Strong proficiency in power system simulation software and analytical tools.
- In-depth knowledge of international standards and codes related to HVDC and VSC infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead teams and interact with global stakeholders.
- Ability to work from the office in Surat on a full-time basis.
