About the role.
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of complex web applications. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to design, execute, and automate test scenarios that drive product excellence.
What you will do.
- Perform comprehensive functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications
- Design, prepare, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios
- Conduct hands-on API testing to validate JSON payloads and HTTP status codes
- Develop and maintain robust automation scripts using Playwright
- Utilize TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript to enhance test automation frameworks
- Document, track, and manage defects effectively using JIRA
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning activities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and overall automation coverage
What you bring.
- 4–7 years of professional experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications
- Proven expertise in API testing using Postman or REST-based tools
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with SQL, Git, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions is highly desirable
- Prior experience in the BFSI or Payments domain is a significant advantage
