About the role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join a specialized connectivity team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing mission-critical, low-latency trading infrastructure that processes high volumes of orders with microsecond-level precision.

What you will do.

  • Develop and maintain large-scale, latency-sensitive trading product suites.
  • Optimize system performance for low latency and high-throughput processing.
  • Build and maintain execution gateways and interfaces for various exchanges and dark pools.
  • Conduct profiling, benchmarking, and tuning of JVM, garbage collection, and networking performance.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and product teams to define and deliver robust trading solutions.
  • Provide L3 support for production issues, ensuring quick resolution and system stability.
  • Establish and promote software delivery best practices, including architecture design and code reviews.
  • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from initial requirements to testing and deployment.

What you bring.

  • 6–8 years of professional experience in Java development within the financial services sector.
  • Deep expertise in Core Java, multi-threading, and memory management.
  • Strong understanding of high-performance messaging, networking (TCP/UDP), and performance optimization.
  • Experience with low-latency technologies such as Kafka, Aeron, or Chronicle Queue.
  • Solid knowledge of the FIX protocol and equity trading market structures.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Gitlab CI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a hybrid, global team environment.
