About the role.
The General Manager Legal will provide comprehensive legal support and strategic counsel to the business units in Mumbai. This role involves managing complex legal matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating risks in a fast-paced financial environment.
What you will do.
- Provide expert legal advice on banking and financial services regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and financial contracts.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters effectively.
- Ensure organizational compliance with local and international legal standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on business operations.

What you bring.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.
- 5–12 years of post-qualification experience in a legal role within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of banking laws, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal documentation and negotiations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
