About the role.
The Lead - Vendor Sourcing will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement and vendor management lifecycle for the facility. This role involves developing strategic sourcing plans, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of materials. You will play a critical role in optimizing the supply chain and maintaining high standards of vendor performance.
What you will do.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet organizational procurement goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to ensure optimal value and quality.
- Monitor vendor performance through regular audits and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry safety standards.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to final delivery.
What you bring.
- 8–12 years of professional experience in vendor sourcing or procurement, preferably within the chemical or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software tools.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
