About the role.

The EHS Lead will be responsible for overseeing all environmental, health, and safety operations at the Palej facility. This role focuses on driving a culture of safety excellence, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies to protect the workforce and the environment.

What you will do.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures tailored to the site.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and national environmental and safety regulations.
  • Lead safety training programs and emergency response drills for all employees and contractors.
  • Manage waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives to meet environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and prepare periodic reports for management review.

What you bring.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  • 8–12 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian EHS laws, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Proven ability to lead safety committees and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills for hazard identification and risk management.
  • Proficiency in local language and English for effective communication and reporting.
  • Experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
  • Certification in Industrial Safety or Fire Safety management is a plus.
