About the role.
This fully remote role centres on designing and building intuitive web-based user interfaces for embedded measuring systems, bridging the gap between low-level embedded Linux platforms and modern web front ends. You will take technical ownership of UI/UX and front-end development while working closely with embedded, DevOps and product teams. The position also offers opportunities to mentor peers and shape agile delivery practices.
What you will do.
- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces for embedded measuring applications using HTML/CSS, TypeScript and React/Next.js
- Translate requirements into wireframes and prototypes using Figma or Balsamiq in close collaboration with product and UX stakeholders
- Integrate web front ends with embedded Linux systems built with Yocto and C/C++ or Rust backends
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and containerised development workflows using Git and Docker
- Leverage AI-assisted tools and modern development environments such as VS Code to accelerate delivery and code quality
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews and mentor engineers within the team
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and drive agile collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to both English- and German-speaking stakeholders
What you bring.
- Degree (university of applied sciences or equivalent) in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
- Five or more years of experience in UI/UX and web development with HTML/CSS, TypeScript and React/Next.js
- Working knowledge of Embedded Linux (Yocto) and proficiency in C/C++ or Rust
- Confident use of Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency with design and development tools such as Figma or Balsamiq, VS Code and AI-assisted tools
- Prior experience in technical leadership and agile delivery using Scrum
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English; very good written and spoken German
- Immediate to 15-day notice period availability
