About the role.
The Project Engineer - Civil (Aviation) will oversee civil construction activities on aviation infrastructure projects based in Ahmedabad, ensuring that works are executed safely, on schedule and to the required quality and regulatory standards. The role involves close coordination with contractors, design teams and stakeholders from site mobilization through testing, commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will act as a key technical point of contact, managing work fronts, tracking progress and resolving execution risks as they arise.
What you will do.
- Supervise civil construction works on aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring execution aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
- Manage site execution and work-front planning to meet project milestones and programme targets.
- Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports and communicate performance to project leadership.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and handover activities for completed civil works.
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance checks in line with ICAO, DGCA and aviation construction standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to resolve interface issues and maintain project flow.
- Identify technical risks early and propose practical problem-solving measures to mitigate delays or quality concerns.
- Review drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and maintain accurate project records in MS Office.
What you bring.
- 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in civil construction, with substantial exposure to aviation or airport infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of ICAO, DGCA and aviation construction standards.
- Proven experience in construction supervision, site execution and work-front management.
- Solid understanding of progress monitoring, reporting, and testing and commissioning processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability in multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder management and technical problem solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Willingness to work from office in Ahmedabad.
