About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join a high-impact risk technology team in Chennai. In this hybrid role, you will serve as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements, data analysis, and solution design for strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring that complex business needs are translated into effective technical solutions.
What you will do.
- Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to understand and document business requirements.
- Elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create and maintain high-quality project documentation including BRDs, Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Flows, and Data Mapping documents.
- Perform detailed data analysis to support requirement definition, root cause analysis, and solution design.
- Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets, validate business rules, and support data reconciliation.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
- Support Agile delivery teams by managing backlogs, refining user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Assist with UAT planning, test scenario creation, defect triage, and business validation.
What you bring.
- 6 to 10 years of Business Analysis experience within enterprise technology environments.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience writing complex queries.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and relational database concepts.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
- STEM or Finance degree qualification.
