About the role.
This role is for a DevOps Engineer within the Data and Platform Services team, which manages a global cloud environment supporting data and analytics use cases. You will be instrumental in bridging operations and development, supporting platform services, and driving automation. The ideal candidate is passionate about DevOps engineering, cloud-native practices, and enhancing operational efficiency.
What you will do.
- Act as an escalation point for the L1 support team, taking ownership of more technical or persistent user issues
- Provide day-to-day support across Azure, assisting users with portal navigation, basic internal network connectivity, and troubleshooting platform tools
- Support user interactions, incident/request handling, and help improve workflows within ServiceNow
- Work closely with end users, including those with limited technical backgrounds, to ensure issues are understood and translated into actionable tasks
- Identify repetitive support tasks and implement automation and AI solutions to streamline operations
What you bring.
- University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 10-15 years of experience with cloud engineering and/or DevOps engineering
- Experience building and deploying infrastructure and services in the cloud, ideally Azure or GCP
- Experience in a support environment, ideally in an L2 or similar role with direct customer interaction
- Knowledge of multiple coding languages or frameworks, including Terraform
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting findings to leadership
- Ability to deliver high-quality and reliable software by collaborating with a team
- Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to apply expertise to drive complex, technical, and highly commercial solutions
- Excellent customer-facing skills, including conducting compelling technical briefings and demonstrations
