About the role.

The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex ports and marine infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion within defined constraints. This role requires a deep understanding of marine construction methodologies and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a professional office environment.

What you will do.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for ports and marine infrastructure projects using industry-standard software.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports and dashboards for project stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to integrate technical requirements into the project plan.
  • Perform critical path analysis and provide recommendations for schedule optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Manage resource allocation planning to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
  • Participate in project review meetings to present schedule updates and address planning-related queries.
  • Ensure all planning documentation complies with project specifications and quality standards.

What you bring.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of professional experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically within the ports and marine sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of marine construction sequences, logistics, and site constraints.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a full-time, office-based environment in Gurugram.
