About the role.
The Senior Billing and Costing Manager will lead contractor billing, payment certification, and cost control for an airport development project in Ahmedabad. The role combines quantity verification, cost estimation, and budget monitoring with forecasting and financial reporting to keep the project commercially sound. You will work closely with project, commercial, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes.
What you will do.
- Manage contractor billing and payment certification for aviation infrastructure works in line with contract terms.
- Carry out quantity verification and measurement to validate contractor claims and progress.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor project budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Produce accurate forecasts and financial reports for project leadership and stakeholders.
- Interpret contract provisions covering measurement, variations, and cost claims, and advise on their commercial implications.
- Operate and maintain cost management systems and ERP platforms to ensure data integrity.
- Develop project analytics and dashboards to track cost performance and commercial risk.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve billing disputes and claims efficiently.
What you bring.
- Proven experience in contractor billing, payment certification, and quantity verification on large projects.
- Strong background in cost estimation, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with greenfield or brownfield airport projects of 10 MPPA or more.
- Working knowledge of contract provisions including measurement, variations, and cost claims.
- Proficiency in ERP platforms, advanced Excel, and project analytics or dashboard tools.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or Commercial Management certification.
- MBA (Finance) or a master's degree in construction management or quantity surveying is preferred.
- Ability to work from office in Ahmedabad.
