About the role.
This role supports the quality assurance and quality control function for civil support facilities within an aviation infrastructure programme based in Ahmedabad. The engineer will ensure that construction and installation activities meet approved drawings, specifications, regulatory requirements and applicable engineering standards. The position works across multiple disciplines and stakeholders to maintain quality documentation and drive compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
What you will do.
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to establish inspection and quality requirements.
- Prepare, review and implement quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
- Plan and carry out inspection, testing and commissioning activities for civil works and support facilities.
- Verify material quality and workmanship against approved standards and project requirements.
- Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records and project reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system procedures and DGCA, ICAO and applicable engineering standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders to resolve quality issues effectively.
What you bring.
- 5-10 years of experience in civil QA/QC within construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in aviation or similar facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control management processes.
- Hands-on experience in inspection, testing and commissioning of civil works.
- Proficiency in reviewing drawings, specifications and quality documentation.
- Experience preparing quality plans, ITPs and method statements, and managing NCRs and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and DGCA, ICAO and applicable engineering standards.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines.
- Relevant engineering degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
