About the role.
We are seeking a Senior QAQC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control across a major airport infrastructure programme based in Mangaluru. The role will own the quality management system, inspection and testing regime, and compliance with aviation-grade construction standards across terminal, airside, landside, MEP and utilities works. You will work closely with project, design and client teams to ensure every deliverable meets specification, regulatory and international aviation requirements. This is a Work From Office role.
What you will do.
- Lead the QA/QC function for large-scale airport construction works, ensuring compliance with approved quality plans and contract requirements
- Implement, maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001
- Develop and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material testing regimes and acceptance criteria
- Conduct and manage internal and external quality audits, tracking closure of findings
- Manage NCRs, CAPA and root cause analysis to drive sustainable quality improvements
- Oversee testing, commissioning and handover quality processes for terminal, airside, landside, MEP and utilities
- Ensure adherence to BIS, IRC, IS, ASTM, ACI and ICAO/FAA/EASA standards as applicable
- Lead, mentor and develop QA/QC inspectors and engineers across multiple work fronts
- Interface with PMC, EPC, Design-Build and Independent Engineer teams on quality matters
- Deploy digital quality management systems and dashboards to track KPIs and project quality performance
What you bring.
- 10–15 years of experience in QA/QC management on large construction or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience with airport construction quality requirements (terminal, airside, landside, MEP, utilities)
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 implementation
- Solid understanding of BIS, IRC, IS Codes, ASTM, ACI, ICAO, FAA or EASA standards
- Experience with ITPs, quality audits, material testing and acceptance criteria
- Hands-on experience with NCR management, CAPA and root cause analysis
- Preferred: Lead Auditor (ISO 9001), Six Sigma, or CQI/IRCA certification
- Preferred: Brownfield or greenfield airport experience (10 MPPA or more)
- Preferred: Experience in PMC, EPC, Design-Build or Independent Engineer environments
- Familiarity with digital quality management systems, dashboards and analytics tools
