About the role.

The Battery Application Lab Associate will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of a specialized laboratory focused on electrochemical systems. This position involves hands-on work with lithium-ion battery assembly, material characterization, and the rigorous documentation of experimental data. The successful candidate will ensure all laboratory activities adhere to strict safety protocols while supporting the commissioning and daily operation of advanced testing equipment.

What you will do.

  • Execute wet chemistry lab techniques and material characterization procedures with high precision.
  • Perform lithium-ion battery assembly and testing using specialized equipment.
  • Operate and maintain inert-atmosphere gloveboxes to ensure sample integrity.
  • Manage laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration schedules.
  • Oversee hazardous material management in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Utilize testing systems such as Maccor and Arbin for electrochemical performance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all experimental data and lab activities.
  • Assist in the commissioning of new laboratory infrastructure and testing setups.

What you bring.

  • Proven experience in wet chemistry lab techniques and material characterization.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and hazardous material management.
  • Hands-on experience with lithium-ion battery assembly and electrochemical testing systems.
  • Proficiency in operating inert-atmosphere gloveboxes.
  • Familiarity with testing software such as Maccor or Arbin.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in data documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and data management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a full-time, on-site laboratory environment.
