About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams in Pune. This role focuses on driving technical excellence, managing complex project lifecycles, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions within a hybrid work environment.
What you will do.
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams to develop optimal technical and functional designs.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Manage project execution across various SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Kanban.
- Oversee distributed application architecture challenges and implement effective technical solutions.
- Facilitate project governance through daily stand-ups, risk registers, and issue tracking.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders to define project requirements and provide regular status updates.
- Drive data-driven decision-making and generate comprehensive reports for project stakeholders.
- Implement training practices to upskill staff and ensure team alignment with project goals.
What you bring.
- 10–15 years of professional experience in Information Technology, Consulting, or the Insurance/Financial Services sector.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in a Technical Lead, Domain Lead, or Project Delivery Lead capacity.
- Strong background in Full stack, Java, or Web Application development.
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or management role leading technical teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Team Forge, and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills including resource planning, time management, and team coordination.
- Understanding of Cloud and DevOps best practices is highly desirable.
