About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead high-performing software engineering teams in Pune. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex web applications, ensuring technical excellence, and managing stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. You will be instrumental in driving project governance, implementing best practices, and bridging the gap between technical development and business requirements.
What you will do.
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical and functional designs.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, documentation, and code quality.
- Manage project governance, including daily stand-ups, risk registers, issue tracking, and escalation matrices.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee the full SDLC process, including Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban methodologies.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through robust analytics and regular project reporting.
- Coordinate project planning and execution from inception through to the transition into service management.
- Implement training and development practices to upskill team members.
What you bring.
- 10–15 years of professional experience in IT, consulting, or the insurance domain.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in a Technical Lead, Domain Lead, or Project Delivery Lead capacity.
- Strong technical background in Java, Web App Development, and distributed application architecture.
- Proficiency in project management tools including JIRA, Team Forge, and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure and DevOps best practices.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to present to all levels.
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or management role with strong organizational and resource planning capabilities.
