About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Azure Data Engineer to architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based analytical solutions. You will lead a team of engineers to transform complex data requirements into robust, high-performance architectures that drive business intelligence and operational efficiency. This role is based in a hybrid work model, offering the opportunity to influence data strategy and mentor technical talent.
What you will do.
- Design and implement end-to-end data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Lead the development of modern data warehouses and data lakes to support advanced analytics and reporting.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Mentor junior team members and enforce best practices in code quality, documentation, and version control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data specifications.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data projects from architecture design to deployment.
What you bring.
- 9–11 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL for complex data transformation tasks.
- Proven experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for data projects.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and project delivery.
