About the role.
The Logistics Assistant will play a critical role in managing warehouse operations and procurement activities at the Sriperumbudur facility. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy, streamlining material control processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across the supply chain. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting daily logistics functions to meet operational targets.
What you will do.
- Oversee daily warehouse and stores operations to ensure smooth material flow.
- Maintain rigorous inventory control and ensure high levels of stock accuracy.
- Execute indirect procurement, MRO purchasing, and project purchasing activities.
- Manage raw material purchasing and material control processes effectively.
- Generate accurate logistics and inventory reports using SAP and MS Excel.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely material availability.
- Oversee waste disposal management in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments regarding material requirements.
What you bring.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including MRO and raw materials.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage cross-functional tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Knowledge of waste disposal management protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.
