About the role.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and inspire engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role involves providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support, while driving technical excellence and fostering a culture of innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with broader business objectives.
What you will do.
- Lead engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals.
- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management, and task prioritization for successful solution delivery.
- Mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
- Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with business partners, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices.
- Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
What you bring.
- 12+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership.
- Knowledge of a 'Micro-Service' driven approach to design, build, test, and deployment of major systems.
- Experience with Spring, Springboot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, React, and Node.js.
- Ability to recognize, select, and apply appropriate Design patterns and frameworks.
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing code in adherence to acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Cloud technologies and understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
