About the role.
The Junior Billing cum Costing Engineer will support commercial and cost management on civil airside aviation projects based in Ahmedabad. The role covers contractor billing, quantity verification, BOQ review and cost control, working closely with project engineers, commercial teams and contractors. It offers hands-on exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of airport infrastructure delivery.
What you will do.
- Prepare, review and certify contractor interim and final bills in line with contract terms and measurement standards.
- Verify quantities on site and maintain accurate measurement records and certification documentation.
- Review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and support rate analysis and cost estimation for airside civil works.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditure and support cost forecasting and cost control activities.
- Support evaluation of variations, change orders and claims, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Assist in contract administration and prepare commercial reports for project management.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing and commercial queries.
- Maintain organised project documentation and commercial records in line with company procedures.
What you bring.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering; relevant post-graduate or commercial certification is an advantage.
- Foundational experience in billing, quantity surveying, cost control or commercial management on civil construction projects.
- Solid understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, measurement and contractor billing processes.
- Working knowledge of contract administration and variation/claims procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with commercial management tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Willingness to work from the Ahmedabad office on a full-time basis.
