About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our client's team in a hybrid capacity. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing cloud-based data solutions, specifically focusing on migrating complex applications from big data environments to Snowflake. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud architecture and the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements to deliver robust data pipelines.
What you will do.
- Design and implement scalable cloud computing solutions for data migration projects.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and Snowpark technologies.
- Perform comprehensive ETL processes and conduct detailed impact analysis on data systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions for complex business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the data ecosystem.
- Participate in Agile development cycles to ensure timely delivery of data projects.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
What you bring.
- 4–8 years of professional experience in data engineering or cloud-based application development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Snowpark.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Extensive background in ETL development and data migration strategies.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
