About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Senior Applications Developer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on the maintenance and enhancement of critical legacy enterprise applications. You will play a key role in troubleshooting complex codebases, implementing new features, and ensuring seamless integration with modern database systems to support evolving business requirements. This role is based in Pune and requires a commitment to working from the office.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using VB.NET and the .NET Framework.
- Analyze existing codebases to identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform thorough unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Provide ongoing technical support and documentation for deployed applications.
- Ensure seamless integration between legacy systems and modern database architectures.
What you bring.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in VB.NET development.
- Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, WinForms, and ADO.NET.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, specifically SQL Server, including stored procedures and complex queries.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on legacy system maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
