About the role.
This role involves leading the risk and audit function to ensure robust governance and internal control frameworks. You will be responsible for identifying potential risks, overseeing audit processes, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The position is based in Mumbai and operates on a hybrid work model.
What you will do.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management and audit strategies
- Lead internal audit engagements to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls
- Identify and assess operational, financial, and regulatory risks across business units
- Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of audit reports to senior management
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Mentor and lead a team of professionals to achieve departmental objectives
What you bring.
- 12–18 years of experience in risk management and internal audit within the banking or financial services sector
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
- Proven track record in leading audit teams and managing complex risk assessments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment based in Mumbai
