About the role.
We are looking for a savvy JavaScript developer to lead the development and optimisation of Microsoft Excel add-ins and the back-end database and API architecture that supports them. The role suits an experienced web development professional who enjoys improving existing applications as well as building new ones from the ground up. You will work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to design solutions that improve data quality, reliability and performance.
What you will do.
- Develop and maintain JavaScript-based Excel add-ins using the Office.js architecture
- Recommend and implement processes that improve data capture quality, reliability and application performance
- Architect solutions that support data scientists and business stakeholders
- Conduct application testing and provide back-end application and API development support
- Maintain application data stored in databases, including Microsoft SQL Server
- Maintain source-to-target documentation and process flow documentation
What you bring.
- Relevant hands-on experience in an application development role
- Strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills
- Working knowledge of Office.js, web development and Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency in C# and an ability to write and understand source-to-target documentation
- Familiarity with data and cybersecurity practices to keep data separated and secure
- Good analytical skills, a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology from an accredited institution
- Good to have: ZappySys, Azure Data Factory and SSIS experience
