About the role.
This role involves designing and maintaining robust data architectures, including pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes, to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. You will lead a team in building complex processing algorithms and collaborating with data scientists to deploy machine learning models. The position requires a strategic mindset to influence decision-making and ensure the reliability of cloud-based data infrastructure.
What you will do.
- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines that ensure consistent and durable data processing.
- Design and implement secure data warehouses and data lakes capable of handling high-velocity data volumes.
- Lead a team in developing advanced processing and analysis algorithms to meet complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy machine learning models into production environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software deployments.
- Monitor production environments, manage incidents, and ensure platform performance and observability.
- Mitigate operational risks by implementing robust security, governance, and control frameworks.
What you bring.
- 8–15 years of professional experience in data engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Solid understanding of Linux administration, Shell scripting, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Proven ability to optimize cloud environments for scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
