About the role.
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions to support complex enterprise requirements. You will build robust data pipelines, enable large-scale data processing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and performant data products.
What you will do.
- Design and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines for consistent data processing.
- Develop and implement data warehouses and data lakes that adhere to strict security and governance standards.
- Create processing and analysis algorithms to handle complex data volumes and velocity.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build, deploy, and optimize machine learning models.
- Lead team initiatives, set objectives, and coach team members to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Advise on complex technical issues and contribute to the development of data policies and procedures.
- Mitigate operational risks by strengthening controls and governance frameworks.
- Influence stakeholders and communicate complex technical information effectively across the organization.
What you bring.
- 8–15 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Proven experience with Databricks or Snowflake and modern data platform architectures.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT optimization and large-scale distributed data processing.
- Experience with Airflow and Git-based source control platforms.
- Ability to implement data quality controls, validation frameworks, and automated testing.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence decision-making and mentor team members.
