About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in BANGALORE. This role is critical in maintaining high availability and performance for complex enterprise systems, focusing on incident management, service restoration, and proactive resiliency planning. You will work in a hybrid environment to ensure operational stability and drive automation initiatives.
What you will do.
- Lead efforts to mitigate incidents and restore normal business operations efficiently.
- Determine incident severity, impact, and appropriate escalation protocols for technology teams.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for incidents and ensure accurate documentation in problem management systems.
- Drive requirements for task automation and the implementation of chaos engineering resiliency exercises.
- Manage high-impact incident communications to relevant technology and business stakeholders.
- Review and manage temporary access requests and entitlements.
- Document standardized processes and playbooks to enhance identification and restoral procedures.
- Conduct weekly incident reviews and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Provide technical oversight for high-risk change activities and complex system environments.
What you bring.
- 5–10 years of professional experience in IT operations or site reliability engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in SRE roles.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages for automation.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Linux, and Unix environments.
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical incidents independently.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management during critical incidents.
- Experience with incident management frameworks and audit compliance.
