About the role.
This hybrid role focuses on monitoring and maintaining critical technology infrastructure, resolving complex technical issues while minimising disruption to operations. You will provide technical support to the service management function, develop the support model and service offering, and drive automation, monitoring improvements and resiliency. The role carries significant influence over business continuity and stakeholder outcomes.
What you will do.
- Provide technical support for service management to resolve complex infrastructure issues for a specific client or group of clients
- Execute preventative maintenance on hardware and software and use monitoring tools and metrics to identify and address potential issues
- Analyse system logs, error messages and user reports to identify root causes and implement fixes, component replacements or configuration changes
- Maintain a knowledge base of resolved cases to support future reference, self-service and knowledge sharing
- Drive automation, capacity management, monitoring enhancements and business continuity management
- Identify and remediate service-impacting risks, and tune monitoring thresholds and alerting proactively
- Advise key stakeholders, including senior management, on functional and cross-functional impacts and alignment
- Manage and mitigate risks in support of control and governance requirements
What you bring.
- 13+ years of experience in service engineering or infrastructure support
- Deep knowledge of NetApp ONTAP and Dell Isilon
- Strong understanding of DR-RTO/RPO planning and compliance frameworks
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible and Python
- Experience with hybrid cloud storage, including AWS FSx for ONTAP, NetApp Cloud Volumes and Isilon CloudPools
- Proven experience leading business resiliency and disaster recovery initiatives
