About the role.
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in monitoring and maintaining the organization's complex technology infrastructure. You will lead technical support initiatives, drive automation, and ensure the resiliency and stability of critical systems. This role requires a strategic mindset to influence technical direction and manage high-level stakeholder relationships.
What you will do.
- Provide expert technical support to resolve complex infrastructure issues and minimize operational disruption.
- Develop and refine support models and service offerings to enhance customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Execute preventative maintenance on hardware and software while utilizing monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze system logs and user reports to identify root causes and implement effective technical resolutions.
- Drive automation, capacity management, and business continuity initiatives to maintain system stability.
- Identify and mitigate service-impacting risks through proactive assessment and governance.
- Lead collaborative, multi-year technical assignments and provide mentorship to less experienced specialists.
- Advise senior leadership on functional impacts and align technical strategies with business objectives.
What you bring.
- 13+ years of professional experience in service engineering or related infrastructure roles.
- Deep technical knowledge of NetApp Ontap and Dell Isilon storage systems.
- Strong understanding of DR-RTO/RPO planning and compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence technical direction and manage stakeholders.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks including Ansible and Python.
- Experience with hybrid cloud storage architectures like AWS FSx for ONTAP and NetApp Cloud Volumes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior management.
