About the role.
This role sits within the Investment Banking Finance Control team, focusing on the oversight of EMEA business products. You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring accurate P&L reporting, and providing critical support to business management and trading desks.
What you will do.
- Maintain and develop best practice controls for P&L and balance sheet integrity
- Produce daily revenue reports for European operations and coordinate intercompany invoicing
- Manage the production of equity syndicate P&L and revenue estimates across regions
- Liaise with global market controllers and middle office teams regarding joint venture transactions
- Provide financial information and strategic support to business management and traders
- Participate in weekly meetings with senior leadership to review pipeline transactions
- Develop and maintain monthly expense and profit reporting for regional management
- Coordinate the recovery of client out-of-pocket expenses and intercompany charges
- Calculate and manage monthly non-performing expense accruals
What you bring.
- 6–12 years of experience in Product Control within an investment banking environment
- MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- Strong knowledge of financial products including Equity and Fixed Income
- Proficiency in P&L reporting and balance sheet substantiation
- Experience with Private Banking accounting and transfer pricing
- Technical proficiency in SQL and MS Access for data management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
