About the role.
We are seeking a Braze Architect to serve as the technical and strategic authority on Braze and the surrounding customer data ecosystem. You will define target-state architectures connecting Braze with CDPs, reverse ETL tools, product analytics platforms, and cloud data warehouses. You will lead enterprise-scale implementations and migrations, set engineering and governance standards, advise senior stakeholders, and build the practice's reusable assets and talent.
What you will do.
- Define end-to-end Braze reference architectures covering workspace strategy, data model, identity, custom attributes and events, catalogs, and multi-brand or multi-region setups.
- Design scalable, secure, and compliant integration patterns across Braze, CDPs, data warehouses, and source systems using batch, streaming, and API-driven approaches.
- Architect Canvas Flow journeys and orchestration frameworks across email, push, in-app, SMS, WhatsApp, Content Cards, and webhooks.
- Establish personalization architecture using Liquid, Connected Content, Catalogs, Content Blocks, and Braze AI features.
- Design identity resolution and unified customer profile strategy, including external ID management and anonymous-to-known merges.
- Architect warehouse-native activation using Snowflake with Hightouch or Census, and integrate CDPs such as Amperity and behavioral analytics with Amplitude.
- Define event taxonomy, schema governance, data contracts, and data-quality monitoring across the stack.
- Establish consent, privacy, and preference-management architecture aligned with GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, and CAN-SPAM.
- Lead technical delivery of implementation, migration, and optimization programs, and set standards for SDK integration, CI/CD, and QA.
- Run discovery workshops with senior business and technology stakeholders and translate goals into technical roadmaps; lead pre-sales solution design and mentor the team.
What you bring.
- 5+ years of hands-on Braze experience with architect-level ownership of at least two enterprise implementations or migrations.
- Deep command of Canvas Flow, segmentation, Liquid, Connected Content, Catalogs, and Braze SDKs, REST API, webhooks, Currents, and Cloud Data Ingestion.
- Strong working depth in at least two of: Hightouch, Amperity, Amplitude, Snowflake, with conversational fluency in the others.
- Advanced SQL and working proficiency in Python or JavaScript / Node.js for integrations and automation.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis or similar) and a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, environment promotion, and HTML/CSS for responsive email and in-app templates.
- Deep knowledge of lifecycle marketing, personalization, customer segmentation, and retention strategy.
- Executive-level communication skills and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field. Braze certification is strongly preferred.
