About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with deep expertise in Apache Kafka to join a high-performing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable event-driven microservices that power core data processing pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex distributed systems within a hybrid work environment.
What you will do.
- Design and implement robust Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop and manage high-throughput data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Optimize Kafka clusters for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate streaming data into existing enterprise architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while participating in rigorous code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to messaging and data consistency.
What you bring.
- 4 to 8 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
