About the role.
This role involves leading and managing projects focused on climate risk within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to strategic objectives. This is a critical position that will contribute to the firm's efforts in navigating and mitigating climate-related financial risks.
What you will do.
- Lead and manage climate risk projects from initiation to closure
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes related to climate risk initiatives
What you bring.
- 10–13 years of experience in project management, preferably within financial services
- Proven experience in managing projects related to climate risk, environmental risk, or sustainability
- Strong understanding of climate risk frameworks and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field
