About the role.
We are looking for a seasoned Lead Data Engineer to join our client's team in a remote capacity. You will be responsible for designing and managing complex data solutions, leading a small team of engineers, and ensuring the seamless integration of data across various platforms. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys both hands-on development and mentoring others to deliver high-quality, end-to-end data projects.
What you will do.
- Develop and manage complex, end-to-end data solutions using PostgreSQL and Python.
- Lead and mentor a small team of 2-3 data engineers to ensure project success.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure data security and compliance with all relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows, processes, and solutions.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business needs.
- Build and test data processes that integrate with external applications via REST API and SOAP calls.
- Design and implement semantic data layers between applications and backend databases.
What you bring.
- 7–11 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Deep expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL.
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically Lambda and Step Functions.
- Proven track record of delivering 3 to 4 end-to-end data engineering projects.
- Experience with real-time data processing and integration techniques.
- Familiarity with Salesforce data architecture and integration is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
