About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager with deep DevOps expertise to oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle for critical enterprise applications. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless deployment governance, managing release planning, and coordinating across cross-functional teams to maintain production stability. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring all releases meet rigorous quality and compliance standards.
What you will do.
- Own the end-to-end release planning, calendar management, and production implementation coordination.
- Drive DevOps-based release execution using CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release orchestration practices.
- Coordinate critical release checkpoints including code freezes, UAT sign-offs, and go/no-go reviews.
- Ensure all governance gates are met, including security reviews, ITSM change records, and audit evidence collection.
- Validate environment readiness across development, testing, and production stages.
- Lead deployment war-room activities, stakeholder communication, and risk management during critical releases.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to improve release automation and reduce manual deployment efforts.
- Confirm production support readiness by ensuring SOPs, runbooks, and monitoring dashboards are in place.
What you bring.
- 8-12 years of experience in release management, DevOps engineering, or platform delivery within regulated or banking environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build packaging, and deployment automation strategies.
- Proficiency in ITSM and change management processes, including experience with tools like ServiceNow.
- Technical expertise in cloud platforms, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for release automation tasks.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse technical and business teams.
- Relevant bachelor degree; professional certifications such as ITIL or DevOps Foundation are highly preferred.
