About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager with a strong DevOps background to oversee end-to-end release planning, deployment governance, and production execution. You will act as a central point of coordination between engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless, controlled, and high-quality software delivery. This role is critical in maintaining production stability while driving automation and efficiency across the release lifecycle.
What you will do.
- Own the end-to-end release calendar, dependency tracking, and production implementation coordination.
- Drive DevOps-based release execution using CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release orchestration practices.
- Coordinate critical release checkpoints including code freezes, UAT sign-offs, and go/no-go reviews.
- Ensure strict adherence to governance gates, including ITSM change records, security reviews, and audit evidence collection.
- Validate environment readiness across all stages, including DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production.
- Lead deployment war-room activities, stakeholder communication, and risk management during critical releases.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to reduce manual deployment efforts and improve release automation.
- Confirm production support readiness by ensuring SOPs, runbooks, and monitoring dashboards are in place.
What you bring.
- 8-12 years of experience in release management, DevOps engineering, or platform delivery within regulated or banking environments.
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, and deployment automation.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes, including change, incident, and problem management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python for release automation.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK.
- Relevant bachelor degree with professional certifications in ITIL, DevOps, or Cloud platforms preferred.
