About the role.

We are seeking a seasoned Contract and Commercial Lead to oversee contractual obligations and commercial strategy for large-scale programs. Based in Ahmedabad, this role involves providing high-level advisory support to leadership regarding risk mitigation, dispute avoidance, and change control. You will act as a central point of coordination between planning, quantity surveying, and project delivery teams to ensure commercial integrity.

What you will do.

  • Maintain contractual obligations, notice requirements, and commercial action registers across all project packages.
  • Review package-level variations, extensions of time, claims, and payment support inputs for completeness.
  • Advise the Program Director on entitlement, exposure, and change-control strategies.
  • Coordinate with planning teams for delay substantiation and with quantity surveyors for measurement evidence.
  • Monitor commercial risks, provisional items, and compensation events to ensure project profitability.
  • Prepare high-level contractual briefing papers and records to support executive decision-making.
  • Implement robust dispute-avoidance measures throughout the project lifecycle.

What you bring.

  • 10–15 years of professional experience in contract management and commercial administration.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex infrastructure or construction contracts.
  • Strong understanding of delay analysis, claim substantiation, and quantity surveying processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in advising senior leadership on commercial risk and change management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a full-time office environment in Ahmedabad.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and reporting.
